Our selection process

Although we operate a non-discriminatory selection policy, it is essential that our nannies:

  • are Greek speakers and have a moderate level of English;

  • have proven experience looking after children;

  • provide us with proof of identity (original passport / identity card and original driving licence if they have one);

  • provide us with proof of address (two original utility bills or bank statements);

  • provide us with proof of any relevant qualifications (original or certified copy of relevant diplomas obtained);

  • provide us with at least two references from employers who have hired them in the last 3 years (and who will be contacted by us);

  • provide us with an enhanced CRB disclosure certificate (if you have lived in the UK for over 6 months) or equivalent clearance from Greece (pistopoiitiko poinikou mitroou).

Our selection process is divided in two stages:

1. Application stage

For Nanny jobs please contact us by email (contact@greeknannies.co.uk) so that we provide you the nanny application form to register with us.

We will then contact you to let you know whether we wish to schedule a one to one meeting with you.

2. Meeting stage

If we are going to support you as a candidate it is very important for us to get to know you.

During our meeting, we will ask you to expand on the information given on your application form and will be answering any questions that you may have.

Our main aim is to ensure that our candidates’ skills and preferences fit our clients’ requirements.

And as a nanny or tutor, it makes sense to join an agency that operates a high-end recruitment policy, as this ensures you will be placed with a family that will be perfectly suited to you.

We will also ask you to provide us with all the documents required to be registered with us.
